Client Christmas Gifts

I told my husband when were dating that I loved getting gifts so much that he could wrap up trash and give it to me and I would be happy (he has yet to test this - probably very smart of him). I am also known for my love of getting the mail everyday. Opening the mailbox to find a hand written note or parcel sends me to the moon.

So, I want to give the wonderful couples whose weddings I get to photograph each year to have similar sentiments about getting the mail, especially during the holidays. It's also so important to thank the beautiful people who allow me to make a living doing something I love and consequently invite me into their lives.

This year, I decided to send my clients a selection of fine art prints from their wedding because there's just nothing like having physical prints of precious memories. There's also something so intensely Christmas-y about a bar of fine chocolate (or at least that's what I've convinced myself of).

My favorite part of the box was the wood block made to display the stack of prints. All of the blocks were hand made with wood from Restoration Hardwoods which is a business run by men in a local residential ministry to help with addiction. So, each block not only shows the prints of a beautiful new beginning of a marriage, but it also represents new beginnings for men in the ministry and their families.

It's also so incredibly humbling to see all the kind responses from my couples. I start tearing up a bit when I think of what a privilege it is to be a part of such an important part of someone's life and their marriage.

Virtual hugs to all the couples from 2017 and I can't wait for what 2018 has in store!
